Led by four percussionists, Sankorfa’s performances are inspired by music from many different eras, cultures and traditions, ranging from cutting-edge recitals as a percussion quartet, to ambitious collaborations involving other instrumentalists and artists. We perform throughout the United Kingdom in a variety of contemporary settings including recital halls, nightclubs and festivals. Our passion and enthusiasm generates thought-provoking and entertaining performances for everyone!

Sankorfa also believes strongly in the importance of music in education. Our workshops are tailored to each group’s requirements and are designed to build individual confidence, promote creativity, develop teamwork skills, improve sensory awareness, develop co-ordination and inspire further learning. We aim for them to be an enjoyable and rewarding experience for both leader and participant.
